Offline use

Can I meditate offline in the app?

You are heading balik kampung, the signal will be patchy, and you want to know.

The App Store version notes say one version of Miracle of Mind allows meditations to be downloaded for offline use1. That is the confirmed part. Whether it works on your phone, your Android version or your signal is not confirmed by any source we could open.

What is confirmed, and what is still unknown?

This table separates what a source states from what it does not, so you can see how far each line can be trusted.

QuestionStatusSource and platform
Are offline downloads mentioned?Confirmed as mentionedApp Store version notes, iPhone listing
Does offline work on Android?UnknownGoogle Play listing could not be opened
Which meditations can be downloaded?UnknownNot stated in the notes we read
Do daily wisdom items work offline?UnknownNot stated
Did we test it on a phone?NoWe have not tested the app

An unknown stays unknown here until a source says otherwise. Each line reflects the Malaysian App Store listing as we read it, and the access date is recorded with the source.

Which languages and access options are confirmed?

The Malaysian App Store listing shows English in its languages field. The version notes say German, French and Marathi were added in one version and six more languages in an earlier one3.

Those notes do not say whether a language covers the audio, the screens or the written content. We do not infer audio support from a language being listed, or from a website being translated. Our guide on checking audio, interface and content languages separately shows how to test it.

The listing and version notes also mention streaks, rewards, adjustable duration, reminders, offline downloads and Apple Health sync2. The iPhone listing says it needs iOS 15.0 or later4.

Can I do this offline on the version I have?

You can find out in about five minutes. Your phone is the only test that counts, because a version note is not the same as a working download.

Try this: a five-minute offline check

Do it at home on Wi-Fi, before the journey.

  1. Update the app from your store, then open it.
  2. Look inside the app for any download or offline option, and use it while still on Wi-Fi.
  3. Switch on flight mode, or switch off mobile data and Wi-Fi.
  4. Press play on the downloaded meditation and listen for a few seconds.
  5. Write down what happened, including anything that would not load.

If step 4 fails, you have your answer. Our first-time setup guide lists other things to sort out before the first session.

Fitting this into a real trip

On the highway to the kampung, the signal can drop in the hills. Do the check the night before, not in the car park of the rest stop.

If it does not work offline, sit without it. The meditation timer runs in your browser, with no sign-in. Our guide on meditating without an app lists more.

Where to go next

Read the installing guide for iPhone or the Android one if you have not installed yet, or return to our Miracle of Mind guides.

If the download works for you, Sadhguru’s free seven-minute guided meditation in the Miracle of Mind app is an optional thing to take along.

Common questions

Does the app work without internet?

The App Store version notes say one version allows meditations to be downloaded for offline use. That is a note about downloads. We have not tested the app, so check on your own phone, with mobile data switched off, before you rely on it.

Is offline listening confirmed on Android?

No. We could not open the Google Play listing, so we cannot confirm offline downloads there. Check the Play Store page and the app itself on your Android phone, and treat the answer as unknown until you see it.

Does offline mean every feature works?

No source we read says so. The notes speak of meditations that can be downloaded. Daily wisdom videos, rewards or sharing may need a connection, and we cannot confirm which. Test the thing you actually want to use.

What if offline does not work for me?

Then you have a clear answer and lose nothing. A plain timer in your browser, or a few quiet breaths, is a full practice. Our no-app guide lists what else the site offers.
